Carnival Corporation announced an order for three massive new ships for Carnival Cruise Line, each nearly 230,000 gross tonnes. These colossal vessels will be built by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, and will run on eco-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG), are set to hit the seas in the summers of 2029, 2031, and 2033.

Carnival Set To Sell Miami Headquarters

Carnival is looking to sell its long-standing headquarters in Doral, Florida, and relocate to a more modern and smaller office space within the Miami area. Carnival has operated from its headquarters on Northwest 87th Avenue in Doral for approximately 30 years, having acquired the site in late 1994 for $23 million which according to 2023 property county appraisal assessed the market value at $66.1 million. Carnival has enlisted Cushman & Wakefield to facilitate the sale of the property.

Captain Niccolo De Ranieri and the crew of the Carnival Cruise Line's Mardi Gras were recognized for their rescue operation that saved 16 lives. This acknowledgment came in the form of the Cruise Ship Humanitarian Assistance Award presented by the Association for Rescue at Sea (AFRAS) during their annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Carnival Cruise Line has welcomed its latest addition, the Carnival Firenze, following its transformation from the former Costa Firenze. This conversion was carried out at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain. Carnival Firenze departed its dry dock in Cadiz, embarking towards its new destination on the west coast of the United States to Long Beach, Los Angeles, with only crew onboard.
